  1. We enjoyed the quality of your 5 characteristics project. all of your images were constant when it came to quality and technique. As far as creativity we were disappointed to see that you stuck to one or two compositions for intensity, temperature, contrast, and hardness. the lack of movement made the images appear stagnant. You displayed great variation in capturing the different characteristics of light. Direction was the area that seemed to be the most well represented as far as quality, technique, and creativity.

  2. We really like the direction photos you took! Using the light reflecting off the bottoms of the bottles is a really neat idea and it spices up the composition. Particularly in your temperature one photo, and your position one photo, this idea stands out really well and makes the setup of the bottles more intriguing. We would suggest changing up the compositions in photos like your temperature photos and your hardness photos as well as your contrast photos. A lot of the photos are the same exact composition placement and just the light is moved, and that technique makes it feel like you are taking portraits of bottles rather than manipulating the bottles to change how the light moves around them. We also would also advise you to focus on your camera more and make sure it isn't taking blurry photos as you take photos, for a lot of the photos are blurry, especially the contrast four five and six photos are completely out of focus. Overall really interesting and unique compositions especially the direction ones, if you work on focusing your camera and switching up the compositions every now and then we think that would be really good! - Maya Bush, Sierra Sandoval, Jay Ramos

  3. I think that in the beginning of your photos the amount of bottles that you had in the frame was just a little to much and was very overwhelming to look at but as the photos go on I think you realized to that 7 bottles was a little bit to much and started to take them out of the frame which is really good. It made the photos much easier on the eye and showcased the shadows you could create more. Also I would make sure to check your photos on a bigger scale before you choose them, there was a few that were out of focus. Your intensity is very good, it shows the different light intensities and shadows. Very constructive, I wish the bottles were in different positions but it's still very nice. There was one photo in which you had your camera set to monochrome when it was supposed to be in color for the temperature part of the project. Temperature was your most consistent because you could really see the difference between every single pictures color. Overall your photos were really nice, your strong suit is for sure temperature and just keep working on your direction and not overwhelming the picture too much.
