My Take Away From Photography
Photography has been such an amazing experience I really enjoyed the process starting with our 1st project and learning the characteristics of light. When starting off I felt like there was an expectation for how a photo should be shot and a certain criteria to follow but I got to learn 1st how to understand how light can affect my images, create a mood and basically change the scenery. I believe all the projects tied into helping me with expression of what I want to capture and how I want to capture it, for instance I learned more about how the sun's light can be so useful in creating an image such as with the “follow the sun” project. I began noticing little things out and about then suddenly thinking of ways of capturing the images in my mind, creating dramatic or settled images using the sun's light. I came from never using a camera to actually being able to capture water moving and getting images with so much more life then I could on my phone. What I have taken away from this course is a new understanding and ability of expressing myself. I now feel comfortable and excited to keep playing with my camera and getting more in depth with images I compose. I’ve learned that photography can be used to make art abstract or not just with the purposeful movement and the right shutter speeds or different Apertures.
-When it came to phots I felt that composition and lighting created a really effective image when looking at creating a scenery to capture the composition was such an exciting part of this course and helped make my images express a sense of busy and always something to find or look at.
- As for Playing with movement, that became such an interesting way to capture a picture. I got many different images either giving a new life to the image and morphing it into something new or getting these abstract images that don't look like ordinary images but they came out so eye catching I had to show them, the photos can appears as being abstract from projects you weren't expecting and end up looking quite intriguing.
-Exploring photography was an experience I'll never forget, I know I'll be continuing to capture new things and make more images that will capture what I am trying to capture for satisfaction. Creating a new atmosphere with my sets was fun and was interesting to manipulate when moving the camera's angle or the settings and even playing with lights.
Different ISO's are being shown below on a high shutter speed to capture the water movement and the ISO changes the feel over the environment like from a cold night to a cool/late day image.
Capturing water was the most exciting thing I could do and I can't wait to go and play with more movement and still objects like the image above!
Hey Aurianna!! I loved seeing your photos over the course of this semester and loved getting to be your partner the few times we worked together!! I think you really came out of your shell with the last two projects especially and loved the compositions you came up with. I also agree with capturing the movement!! I loved doing that as well and when an image is blurry or not what you expected sometimes those are the most interesting photos. I love your water pictures!!! I didn't think about capturing movement in terms of capturing water and I think that's a cool concept to explore. I'm excited to see your photos in the future and continue to see you grow!!
ReplyDeleteThank you soo much I appreciate it a lot! I can't wait to be able to explore the camera way more and use its art to help me with my future work. Thank you for being my partner a few times as well I enjoyed your company a lot. and I can't wait to see what your work comes out to be too in the future!
